うがい薬 or this gargle solution is a Japanese pharmacy staple for throat and mouth care during cold and flu season. My husband and I always use this when we feel like a cold might be commeth, and it usually helps to clear things out before it turns into a bad cold. For this, you dilute with water and gargle for 30 seconds, then spit it out! Also the hippos gargling...!!!
